Eight isn't Enough

We held the Eighth Fair Wage Cafe on Saturday and it was awesome.

Music, poetry and comedy by some of the most talented folk in Humboldt County. Food from our community volunteers with Coffee by the Gold Rush, even I baked some goodies. These Cafe's keep getting bigger and and better thanks to the community. The Fair Wage Folks are the hosts but the numbers of community members and organisations that contribute their time and support is growing with each event.

Eight is not enough, A worker can't live on $8 an hour and eight isn't enough Cafes. We will be having more Fair Wage Cafes in the months ahead and on Election Day we will be Raising the Wage.

Here are some photos for those that missed this one. See you in May.

Busy Week

Spent the first part of the week celebrating measure D in San Jose. Then I joined my comrades for 5 pm for the 5 demands an ongoing event on Thursdays. The five demands center on ending the torture of long term solitary confinement in the California prison system. Friday I joined Don And Dimitri at the intersection of Wabash and Broadway for our peace vigil. Ended the week at the Unitarian Fellowship in Bayside brunching and politicking. Cheers

We knew the way to San Jose

Couldn't find the car but we found the press conference.

)

It was held on the campus at SJSU near the Statues.

It was a great event to celebrate the Success of a Group of Students in changing the world for good.
