Memorial Weekend

Road over the bridge to Manila to watch some of the 40th Kinetic Sculpture Race. This was one of the newest floats the Octo-mom. There was music and lots of folks despite the truly abysmal weather. The vendors stayed away, no Co-op with free giveaways and only one hot dog stand. The music was mellow and the racers as usual had gone all out "For the Glory"

Found a piece on peace

Hope you are all getting the chance to keep up with my "Quiet Spot" photos on twitpic. Here is a little sample.

I am trying to keep up with this project and spent a bit of time organizing files and tagging pics to keep track of everything. I have already screwed up and posted some duplicates. At this point I am simply building a catalog with a hope of doing something more detailed over time. Found a lot of half used files and forgotten tapes. Thought I would share this short film from the 09 peace walk here in town that I rediscovered.

May Day Musings

Hope you all had a better day than I. Pouring rain and morons plagued my afternoon so I though I would share more of my quiet spots with you. The last spot is above the mouth of the Klamath River. The other two are from deep in Redwood National Park. I like to take a moment and think about these places each day as I try to stay out of the clock tower.
